| Subject | Course Reserve Deadline for Spring Semester 2012: November 22, 2011 |
In preparing your course reserve lists, please review the following information. For more information on Course Reserves including guidelines, submission forms, deadlines and other important dates please visit:
http://www.libs.uga.edu/access_services/reserves.html
Traditional Reserves
Library-owned materials, as well as personal materials, are placed in the closed stack area behind the Reserve Desk at each Library. All items placed on reserve are listed in the GIL Catalog
Electronic Reserves
Typically acceptable formats for Electronic Reserves are documents such as class notes, articles, and single chapters from books. We will scan everything possible within the limits of the Fair Use clause of copyright law - for details see the Reserves Guidelines (http://www.libs.uga.edu/access_services/reserves/guidelines.html) or contact the Reserve desk. Because of file size concerns, we do not currently scan material that has a large number of images. All electronic material can be accessed through the GIL Catalog using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Processing Priorities
Due to the volume of requests we receive for Electronic Reserves, we are including our processing priority requirements. Documents already in an electronic form (MS Word, PDF, or a website) will receive the highest priority in processing. To take advantage of this priority status, please submit your readings on a disk or provide the URL. Photocopies submitted for items to be scanned will be processed as the second priority. Lowest priority will be given to requests where citations are provided but the Libraries' Staff must retrieve, photocopy and scan the material.
Submitting Items for Course Reserves
To submit a Reserve list you may print the Reserve materials list form (http://www.libs.uga.edu/access_services/onlineforms/reserve.html) or make your submission online.
