Pet Supplies Plus offers animals in-store for adoption and hosts weekly adoption events for various local rescue groups.
Cat Zip Alliance
A nonprofit organization working to reduce the number of homeless cats and put an end to unnecessary euthanasia and feline overpopulation by promoting the principles of responsible community cat management. CZA serves as an umbrella organization for Campus Cats and other programs.

SOS works to inspire compassion and respect for animals, to reduce animal suffering, and to protect animals from cruelty and abuse.
Sweet Olive Farm Animal Rescue
Serves as a sanctuary for rescued goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys, geese, chickens, alpacas, donkeys, mini-horses, a wild mustang, and dogs. Educates the public about farm animal welfare and rescue and encourages social responsibility for the welfare of animals.
The Athens Pet Food Bank
The Pet Food Bank seeks to provide a free, easily accessible, and reliable source of pet food to assist pet owners in Athens who are struggling to care for their animal companions.
Vets for Pets and People
A grant-supported program of the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. The primary mission is to educate veterinarians, veterinary paraprofessionals and the public about the link between domestic violence and animal abuse. Working with Project Safe (an Athens area domestic violence shelter) and a network of volunteers, they also provide temporary foster care to pets whose owners have sought shelter from domestic violence.
