Many video recordings are now available for loan to UGA faculty, students and staff for short periods. See our Circulation Policies for more information. Sound recordings may also be borrowed for 3 days.
Video recordings (VHS, DVD, or laserdisc) are not available through Interlibrary Loan.
All library patrons may use materials in the Media Department. University of Georgia students, faculty, and staff must present a valid University of Georgia identification card. Members of the general public must present a valid picture identification (examples include: a driver's license or a passport; an employer-issued picture ID is not sufficient).
No unsupervised persons under the age of 17 may use the Media Department facilities. During peak use times, UGA students and faculty receive priority.
Many Media Department holdings are listed in the GIL Catalog. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact us for assistance.
Faculty may place their own video and sound recordings on reserve in the Media Department. Reserve materials are for use in the Media Department only, on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, see Reserves under Media Department Collections.
