Borrowing Policies for Sound Recordings

The LPs housed within the Media Department have now been relocated to the Libraries off-site repository. If you would like to have an LP(s) retrieved, please contact Access Services, which is on the the first floor the Main Library. A staff member will help you fill out a form needed to retreive the LP(s) you are requesting. Please be aware that that it may take up to three days to retreive your item from deep storage. We thank you in advance for you patience.

Up to three (3) sound recordings may be borrowed at a time and must be returned within three (3) days of checkout. To use recordings from this collection, you must get a permission slip(s) from the Media Department in the Basement of the Main Library. You then take the slip(s) and the recording(s) to Access Services on the first floor to officially check out the item. Sound recordings must be returned to the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Main Library and not left in the book drop. Do not leave sound recordings in your car or in the sun! There are no renewals. Failure to return a sound recording cancels any further privileges and the following will be applied as necessary:

Fines of $3.00 per day will be charged for each overdue item, and no other materials may be checked out until all overdue items are returned and fines cleared.

Borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of damaged materials. Faculty are responsible for the items borrowed by their graduate students.

The Libraries Access Services department may suspend all library privileges and/or block class registration for failure to return materials and/or meet financial obligations.
