Libraries Student & Faculty Surveys Deadline Extended to December 9

Submitted by Camie on

 Survey period: Nov 1 - Dec 9, 2022

Update: The deadline for the surveys has been extended to Friday, December 9.

UGA students and faculty can provide feedback on library services, facilities, and resources through surveys distributed to users this fall. The surveys seek input on topics such as technology needs, library instruction, research and data support, study spaces, and other aspects of academic support from the libraries.

The survey will be distributed to a sample of faculty and students, who will receive email invitations Nov. 1. Check your inbox and junk/clutter folders for a message from University of Georgia Libraries. The survey period will continue through Dec. 9, and participants are encouraged to complete the online questionnaire throughout the period. The survey is expected to take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete.

Student participants will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Along with a grand prize Amazon gift card valued at $100, students also could win one of 10 gift cards valued at $20.

Through the surveys, UGA Libraries will gain insight into the work and research practices of students and faculty, and how they use and perceive library services. The surveys will be conducted in partnership with Ithaka S+R, an organization that has administered numerous national faculty surveys and related strategic assessment activities. By participating in this national survey, UGA Libraries will have an opportunity to compare local findings with data from peer institutions, while evaluating services and planning for the future.
