Research Consultation Librarians

In preparation for applying for the award, you will need to have a 30-minute to 1-hour consultation with a subject specialist librarian. Choose a Subject Specialist Librarian that fits your subject discipline and contact them directly to arrange for a consultation. For projects using primary sources, contact a Special Collections Library Subject Specialist. If you do not see your subject represented, or have any questions please contact Elizabeth White (elizabethwhite@uga.edu).

After your meeting, the librarian you met with will email you a summary of the consultation. The purpose of the consultation is for you to talk with the librarian about your project and for you to receive feedback on how to improve your research strategies so that you can find additional relevant information. Please schedule your consultation early enough in the research process to incorporate the librarian's suggestions into your project, and please include in your application essay examples of how your research strategies changed as a result of the librarian's suggestions.
