Toddler Tuesday at UGA Special Collections is full of story time, music, and crafts! Join us for enriching activities designed for children ages 1-4 years old (older siblings are invited to join us!) This program is free and open to the public, including free parking offered to visitors in the Hull Street Deck. Seats are limited; email jess.grant@uga.edu to reserve your spot.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the program.

This summer the Russell Library is proudly hosting the traveling exhibition The Fourth Grade Project featuring 72 photographs by Judy Gelles. Over the past decade, Judy Gelles (1944 – 2020) interviewed and photographed more than 300 fourth-grade students from a range of economic and cultural backgrounds in China, Dubai, England, India, Israel, Italy, Nicaragua, St. Lucia, South Africa, South Korea, and multiple areas of the United States. This art project connects children locally and globally, building bridges and tearing down walls.

Inspired by the exhibition entitled Unequal by Design: Housing in Georgia and America on display in the R. Harold Harrison Gallery, the Russell Library will host an event focusing on the future of housing in Athens. This event is free and open to the public. Free parking for off-campus visitors is available at the Hull Street Deck.

Join us on Saturday, March 11, 2023, for a community conversation sparked by artist Alice Woodruff and formidable women. View a selection of the sculptures from the exhibition Warrior Women:  From Invisible to Formidable One Hundred Strong. Following a brief lecture by artist Alice Woodruff, a panel will explore themes from the exhibition. The artist and panel will participate in a Q & A with the audience. Light reception.
