R. Harold Harrison Gallery

The Harrison Feature Gallery is home to the Russell Library’s rotating exhibits. This gallery rotates approximately twice a year. Russell Library staff develops and coordinates public programming and events related to on-view exhibits.

The Harrison Gallery also features a “Reflection Zone” where visitors can respond to questions about the exhibits and share feedback about their experience. Russell staff may also offer small, informal conversations or lectures in this space during tours or special events.

This gallery is a gift made in memory of R. Harold Harrison (UGA ’41) by the Luther and Susie Harrison Foundation, Inc.

Mr. Harrison, a native of Barrow County, Georgia, was a longtime friend of Senator Richard B. Russell, Jr. The two often worked together to effect passage of legislation favorable to Georgia’s poultry industry and economic development. Mr. Harrison was a prominent businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist.
