Do you have what it takes to be a #PuzzleMaster and decode the hidden message?

Lecture, The Mysteries of Freemasonry Brought to Light: The Origins and Some Discoveries of the Exhibition

Join curator Alisa Luxenberg for a lecture about Hargrett's newest exhibit, "Freemasonry in Georgia: Ideals, Imagery, and Impact." The lecture will introduce the subject of Freemasonry, the origins and challenges of the exhibition, and some of the fascinating discoveries made during the research undertaken for the catalogue accompanying the show.

Politics and Zines: Create Your Own Zine Workshop

A zine, short for “magazine,” is a small-circulation self-published work of images and text, usually reproduced on a copy machine. Zines have been a significant medium of communication for fan clubs, artists, and subcultures alike, presenting the opportunity of self-expression for anyone who has access to scissors and paper. Additionally, zines provide an accessible avenue for activists to express personal and political views.

Closing Reception, Georgia On My Mind: Home for the Holidays

Mark the end of "Georgia On My Mind: Finding Belonging in Music History" with a festive reception including drinks, hors d'oeuvres, holiday music, and a final look at the exhibit!

As part of the Spotlight on the Arts Festival, the University of Georgia Press will host a book sale for students, faculty, and staff on the lawn in front of the Main Library on November 15-16, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. CANCELLED: Hargrett Happy Hour: The B-52s

Note: The B-52's have postponed their Athens show on November 15th due to illness. In light of this change, we are cancelling our scheduled Hargrett Happy Hour event.

We still have great items from the band on display in our exhibit "Georgia On My Mind: Finding Belonging in Music History" and hope you will stop by to see them before the exhibit closes on Dec. 9th. If you have any questions, please contact jhebbard@uga.edu.
