Mission Statement

Georgia Newspaper Project and the Digital Library of Georgia

The Georgia Newspaper Project (or Micrographic Services) supports the mission of the Digital Library of Georgia and the University Libraries by preserving collections of materials for ongoing access and providing micrographic reproduction services to Library patrons and University students, faculty and staff. Micrographic Services is primarily responsible for the Georgia Newspaper Project, part of the United States Newspaper Program.

To date portions of the Dublin Post, the Cherokee Phoenix, and the Colored Tribune have been digitized. An expanded list of online databases and ongoing projects can be viewed by going to the Digital Library of Georgia.
