Richard B. Russell Scholarship

Established in 1997 with a gift from the Richard B. Russell Foundation Inc. to recognize one of Gordon College’s most distinguished alumni, this scholarship is named for U.S. Senator Richard B. Russell, Jr. He attended Gordon Institute from 1913 to 1915, and Russell Hall, an academic building on campus, also bears the senator’s name. Students from Barrow County, Georgia, receive preference for this award.

Judge Robert L. Russell Scholarship

Established in 1997 with a gift from the Richard B. Russell Foundation, Inc., this scholarship is named for Judge Robert Lee Russell, Sr., brother of Senator Richard B. Russell, Jr. A distinguished alumnus, he attended Gordon Institute from 1917 until 1918. Students from Barrow County, Georgia, receive preference for this award.
