Curator Tour, "Sunken Treasure: The Art & Science of Coral Reefs"

On the first Friday of every month, join curator Dr. James Porter in exploring Hargrett's newest exhibit "Sunken Treasure: The Art & Science of Coral Reefs." Dr. Porter will begin his tour in Room 268, next to the Hargrett Gallery, in which he will provide an introduction before leading the group into the gallery. Attendees will gain insight into the 50 years of research and collecting that made this exhibit possible!

The Past, Present, and Future of Coral Reefs with Dr. James Porter

Join Dr. James W. Porter, Josiah Meigs Professor of Ecology, as he discusses and answers questions regarding his half century research and efforts to protect the most biologically diverse environment on Earth. Following the lecture, light refreshments will be served in the exhibition hallway and attendees are encouraged to peruse Hargrett's newest exhibit, "Sunken Treasure: The Art and Science of Coral Reefs." 

Free parking is available to Special Collections visitors in the Hull Street Deck, across the street from the UGA Special Collections Building.
