Canned Food Drive

• Drive to collect food for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia
• Goal: Getting items (both food and toiletries) to those who may not be able to afford the bare necessities

Animal Welfare Drive

• Creates display of pets of Libraries' staff
• Works with Community Services Coordinator to collect goods for local animal welfare groups
• Groups include the Athens Area Humane Society and Athens-Clarke County Animal Control
• Goal: draw attention to the issues of homeless pets both locally and nationally

Athens School Supplies Drive

• Organizes collection of school supplies for the children of Athens-Clarke County, which are distributed to participating schools
• Goal: get school supplies to those in need

Winter Holiday Charity Fundraiser

• Past charities have included Toys for Tots, Joyce Ervin and Open Hearts of Athens, and clothing drives
• Volunteers are needed to assist the Community Services Coordinator with the gift shopping and wrapping
• Goal: provide items to local families who would otherwise go without
