Georgia Commitment Scholars Program

Members of the Georgia Commitment Scholars Program

The Russell Foundation has provided financial support for a Georgia Commitment Scholarship. This scholarship provides four years of tuition for a student from rural Georgia. This need-based scholarship program is open to first-year undergraduate students, renewable for up to four years (8 semesters) and complemented by a variety of programs and resources designed to promote student success.

Since its creation in 2017, with more than $102 million donated toward need-based aid, UGA has established more than 715 Georgia Commitment Scholarships. This has allowed UGA to lower the financial burdens of earning a life-changing education.
