University System of Georgia Borrowers

University System Borrowing Privileges - All eligible students, faculty and staff of the University of Georgia may use the GIL Express service to borrow books from all libraries within the University System of Georgia. Search the statewide Universal Catalog and make requests. For your convenience GIL Express items may be picked up or returned at any USG library.

Renewals - If your account is in good standing and no one else has requested items, GIL Express materials are automatically renewed twice.

Blocks - One overdue book will block your library privileges at all USG libraries, including UGA. Fees that can accrue include damage charges and replacement costs for lost materials. Payment can be made in person at the Main Library with a check or debit/credit card. Payments can also be made by mail with a check or money order payable to the order of UGA Libraries. Please contact Access Services at 706-542-3256 or maincirc@uga.edu for information about online payments.All financial obligations must be resolved with the library that owns the material.
